I came here a couple of weeks ago when the speed tester wasn’t working. It appears to be now which is great (kind of), as it shows just how slow my dial up is. Time to upgrade.
The Speed Checker is very cool. I got the following result on an ADSL2+ connection.
Download Speed: 5860 kbps (732.5 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 690 kbps (86.3 KB/sec transfer rate)
I have to admit, its quite useful.
Although Im farely familiar with internet tech in general… I think novice users would find the help centre of value.
I couldn’t go past having a play on the ‘Speed Checker’ a couple of times to, and the conversion tables and broadband help faqs are handy also.
