Telstra Next G Network Uplink increased to 5.8Mbps

Telstra have announced an uplink speed increase of up to 5.8Mbps for their Next G network.

The new speed is theoretical with real time achievable speeds expected to hover between 300kbps – 3Mbps. Even these speeds will only be obtainable by customers in major metropolitan, and some regional areas, as those residing in areas other than this will receive between 300kbps – 1Mbps.

Customers with Telstra who already have the Telstra Turbo 21 mobile broadband USB will be able to take advantage of the faster uplink speeds as from today.
