World leading mobile network manufacturer Huawei has announced a 1.2 Gb/s mobile broadband speed breakthrough using LTE technology at CTIA Wireless 2010 in Las Vegas just recently.
Using Huawei’s SingleRAN prototype LTE advanced 80MHz wideband radio with CA, MIMO, CoMP and relay, the network specialist was able to produce a very fast speeds with low latency which is expected to vastly improve the mobile broadband experience.
The wireless broadband spectrum is still only in research and development stages and Huawei is mum when it comes to release details. News of the Huawei advanced LTE wireless speed test coincides with Telstra’s latest LTE trial which begins in May. The incumbent believes their new LTE 4G technology will boost it’s Next G network wireless speeds up to 172Mbps within the next five years.
